Sexology
With a sexologist you can discuss all matters concerning sexology, regardless if you are alone or in a couple. It stretches out to all domains, from the emotional life to having sexual intercourse, and this in a therapeutical manner. The therapies can be followed with your partner or on your own. The therapy consists of dialogues about sexual and intimate topics. This without judging someone else, with a lot of tolerance and by listening to eachother, giving advices that are based on working tools approved by the Society of Sexologists. Frequently discussed topics are:sexual education, erectile or ejaculatory dysfunctions in men, penetration pain in women (dyspareunia, vaginism), anorgasmy and dysfunctions of sexual desire and pleasure, conjugal conflicts, identity disorders concerning sexual identity or orientation and so on.
  • Erectile dysfunctions
    • When all medical (mechanical) causes are excluded and keeping an erection is blocking a satisfying sexual relationship, it is possible that the cause is rather a relational or psychological issue.

  • Ejaculatory dysfunctions
    • A man suffers from premature ejaculation when the ejaculation happens too early to be satisfied. The ejaculation can take place before or shortly after penetration. On the other side, there can also be an absent or late ejaculation, this in spite of an adequate erection.

  • Vaginal pain
    • Vaginal pain is subdivided in two types : dyspareunia and vaginism
Dyspareunia is a pain occurring during penetration. It leads to more difficulties during sexual intercourse for the women, but intercourse is still possible. Vaginism on the other side, consists of an unvoluntary contraction of the perineum, wich will close the vaginal orifice leading to impossible penetration.

  • Problems concerning sexual pleasure
    • It can happen that sexual intercourse is possible, but people don’t manage to take pleasure, have an orgasm.

  • Problems concerning sexual desire
    • Having less sexual desire leads to less sexual thinking. This loss of desire can happen without obvious causes and persists in time.

  • Relational issues
    • These issues can vary and be the cause of sexual problems. Sometimes, a couple can face hard times, have communication issues, difficulties with their role in the relationship, a bad self image and so on. This can lead to a shortness of intimacy.
