Since 1996 I, Cynthia Verlinden, am graduated as a midwife at the Erasmushogschool in Jette.
Since 2001 I am a staff member at the UMC St- Pieter hospital.
In this reference center in Brussels for high risk pregnancies, maternity and delivery-room, I can use my years of experience I built with Doctors Without Borders.
I led a medical team in different locations worldwide in order to provide suiting medical care in refugee camps like Indonesia and South-Soudan.
In 2002 I decided to be closer to home and to use my experience by guiding future parents.
In the meanwhile, I became a mother myself of 2 boys and this also helps me to guide future parents.
Searching for new challenges, I did specialize in diabetes (type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes).
On the 1st of November 2019 I will be starting at the Brugmann hospital at Brussels on the consultation endocrinology.
Of course, I will work as a midwife and guide women and couples throughout their pregnancy and delivery at Mirha.
