I have a Masters degree in physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences which I got
from the University of Ghent.
During my internship I got acquainted with a sophrologist, physiotherapist.
Sophrology is a soft, dynamic relaxation method where you learn to consciously
deal with body and mind. Sophrology gave me a new dimension in my work. I
decided to follow Caycedian sophrology at the ISCASOF institute under the
direction of Monique Delbar from Ghent. I specialized as a pelvic floor
therapist in Charleroi.
I work in the St Pieter hospital in Brussels in the Perineum clinic of Dr Ann
Pastijn and in the MS center in Melsbroek where I work with neurological
patients. Five years ago, the MS center asked me if I wanted to follow a
mindfulness training course, which I did of course. This course was taught by
Dr David De Wulf, writer from Ghent according to the MBSR Oxford University
criteria.
I am a physiotherapist in the association ‘stop aux violences sexuelles’ in
Brussels led by Dr Violaine Guérain.
Since the perineum is an emotional organ, mindfulness and sophrology can add
value in the context of sexual problems, pelvic floor pain, menopause, etc.
I work with a holistic view where body and mind are central.
Each guidance is tailor-made for you, where you are the focal point. I consult
in the doctorsoffice on Friday evening starting from 17:30.
