Neurosurgeon

I studied Medicine in Maastricht, the Netherlands and specialized in neurosurgery in Antwerp, Mechelen, Roeselare, Brussels and Maastricht again.
I work as a neurosurgeon at the university hospital Saint Luc in Brussels, CHIREC Delta, Parc Leopold and the Brussels spine center.

Neurosurgery includes a lot of domains:

• Brain surgery for adults and children including tumors, vascular anomalies, hemorrhages and functional neurosurgery, where neurostimulation of our brain, spinal cord is done for different problems like Parkinson, epilepsy, chronic pain and depression.



• Spine surgery is another big part of my activities, including the treatment of disc hernias in the cervical and lumbar spine, as well as degenerative diseases like spinal canal stenosis and traumatic and congenital abnormalities. One of my points of interest is the minimal invasive lumbar surgical techniques, where modern navigation (brainlab) and intra-operative imaging ( Robotic 3D imaging Artis Pheno) is used.
