Biography

I am a physiotherapist specialising in pelvic floor rehabilitation since 1996. Traditionally, pelvic floor problems have hampered the lives of patients suffering from them. However, information about pelvic floor rehabilitation used to be not widely known to the public nor to physiotherapists.

That is why I specialised in perineology. From the beginning, I found it very important that the patient is the focus and protagonist of rehabilitation, which is essential for its success. I also think it is important to pass on knowledge and continue to develop rehabilitation care.

Since 2002, I have been a lecturer at the International School of Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation (E.I.R.P.P.), based in France. Since 2004, I have been part of the Scientific Society for Rehabilitation Training (S.F.E.R.) where I teach abdomino-pelvic rehabilitation courses in Mons.

In 2008, I opened a pelvic floor rehabilitation consultation at O+ Médical in Brussels. After several years, Dr Pastijn and I teamed up to establish the perineal clinic at CHU St Pierre in Brussels in 2009.

Of course, I have been working in my own practice in Braine-l'Alleud since the beginning and attend various training courses and conferences in Brussels and other cities every year.

I am happy to welcome you to this pelvic floor centre at the practice on Wednesdays and be part of the multidisciplinary team for pelvic floor pathologies.
